Super Duplex 2507 has higher chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content compared to Duplex 2205, giving it superior corrosion resistance, especially against pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater. It also offers greater tensile and yield strength, making it ideal for offshore and high-pressure environments.
Yes, 2507 offers far superior resistance to chloride-induced corrosion compared to 316L or even 904L. It’s often used as an upgrade in chemical, desalination, and marine systems where traditional austenitic grades fail under stress or corrosion.
Use ER2594 or E2594 welding wire/electrode. Heat input and interpass temperature must be carefully controlled to preserve the desired ferrite-austenite phase balance and prevent cracking.
Yes, when certified to NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156, Super Duplex 2507 is fully suitable for use in sour gas environments. Be sure to specify this requirement in your inquiry to receive compliant material.
• Plates and welded pipes are commonly available from stock in China and Dubai.
• Seamless pipes are usually made-to-order and may have longer lead times.
• Typical delivery times range from 1–3 weeks for stock items, and 4–6 weeks for custom seamless pipes.
• EN 10204 3.1 MTC (3.2 available)
• NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156
• TPI accepted (BV, SGS, TUV, Lloyd’s)

Super Duplex 2507 – The Ultimate in Strength & Corrosion Resistance
Built for extremes – whether it’s deep sea, aggressive chemicals, or high pressures.
Twice the strength of 316L, superior pitting resistance, and NACE compliance.
• Pressure vessels, desalination plants, chemical tanks
• Ferrite content must be in control (typically 45–55%)
• Hot rolled or cold rolled, pickled finish
• For high-pressure corrosive systems
• NDT mandatory (UT or ET), hydrostatic testing
• Minimum elongation 15%, YS ≥ 550 MPa
• Machined shafts, flanges, forged rings
• Supplied hot/cold finished – surface peeled or ground
• Heat exchangers, condensers, offshore piping
• Leak-tested, excellent chloride resistance
• Complies with mechanical & chemical properties of A790
• Flanges, valves, fittings for critical service
• Forged & annealed – microstructure must comply with dual-phase balance
