FAQs
What is Incoloy 800 used for?
Incoloy 800 is ideal for furnace components, reformer tubes, superheaters, and heat exchangers at temperatures up to 1100°C.
What’s the difference between Incoloy 800 and 800H?
800H has tighter control on carbon and grain size for better creep rupture strength. Use 800H in high-stress, high-temp systems.
Is Incoloy 800 corrosion-resistant?
Yes, especially in oxidizing and carburizing environments, but it’s not designed for aggressive acid media like Hastelloy C276.
Can Incoloy 800 be welded easily?
Yes. It is weldable using GTAW (TIG), SMAW or MIG with recommended fillers like ERNiCr-3.
What are typical delivery times to GCC countries?
• Dubai: 1–2 weeks from stock • China: 4–6 weeks (seamless, custom) • Europe: 4–6 weeks for large OD or special spec
